Small shop · One at a time

Handmade for Race Fans.

Every piece is cut, poured, and finished by hand for people who grew up around race weekends, favorite drivers, and numbers you'd recognize anywhere. Real hardwood, hand-poured resin, built one board at a time.

The process

Made one at a time

Boards start as rough hardwood. The number insert gets painted and set by hand, the resin is mixed and poured in one pass, and then it sits until it's fully cured. After that it's sanded through the grits, polished, wiped down and looked over before it gets packed.

Because the wood grain and the resin do their own thing, small differences from board to board are normal. That's the part you can't get from a factory.

Made by a race fan, for race fans

Checkered Craft started in a garage with a love for woodworking and a lifelong obsession with race weekends. Every piece is worked on by hand, from shaping the wood to finishing the details.

The goal is simple, make something another racing fan would actually be proud to have in their home, garage, or at the next cookout.

Most of the work happens with a race on the TV in the background. If you've got a question before you order, email the shop. You'll be talking to the guy who builds them.
